UNIVERSITY WITHOUT WALLS

The University Without Walls (UWW) offers three semesters of workshops, classes, and literary events led by recognized professional writers, as well as artists and scholars whose work relates to writing. 

All UWW classes are eligible for continuing education credit for teachers, awarded by the Texas State Board of Educator Certification

UWW offerings serve writers at all stages of development, and also engage the general reader in lifelong learning in literature and related subjects. UWW semesters include free monthly peer-led writing labs and free literary performances each First Friday, situating the literary arts prominently in San Antonio's monthly First Friday Art Walk in the Southtown arts district. Gemini Ink's Summer Literary Festival is a two-week celebration of classes, readings, young writers' camps, reader's theater, and other special events that highlight San Antonio nationally as a literary destination.
